Increase to financial capacity required for student visas and student guardian visas

The Australian Government has raised financial capacity requirements for Student and Student Guardian visas, effective from May 10, 2024, to prevent financial hardship, visa condition breaches, and worker exploitation. The increases aim to ensure students can support themselves adequately. Applications lodged before May 10, 2024, will be assessed under previous requirements.
