Pathway to PR in the Works

Australia is gearing up for significant changes and here’s a look at the latest updates:

Earlier this year, the Minister for Home Affairs announced that by the end of 2023, all temporary skilled workers in Australia would have a pathway to Permanent Residency. This was met with enthusiasm from those hoping to make Australia their long-term home.

Despite the initial announcement, July 1, 2023, came and went without the promised changes being put into practice. This caused some uncertainty and disappointment among temporary skilled workers eager for a clearer path to PR.

In a conference, the Department confirmed their commitment to the proposed changes.

Department has announced that they will release a comprehensive fact sheet by the end of October with more details on the proposed changes, including their timing.
