WA to Address Labour Shortages

Western Australia, under Cook and Albanese Labour Governments, plans to tackle labour shortages with 10,000 skilled migration places for 2024-25. This includes expanding the State Nominated Migration Program (SNMP) to 5,000 places, prioritizing local needs, and introducing the WA Designated Area Migration Agreement (DAMA) for key sectors. These efforts aim to boost economic resilience and workforce flexibility.
